A chronograph is more than just a watch; it is a time measuring instrument. The built-in stopwatch function allows you to accurately measure events. The subdials on the dial register seconds, minutes and hours. This makes a chronograph watch both super-practical and stylish.

What is a chronograph?

The word chronograph is another word for stopwatch. The chronograph function allows you to measure the elapsed time. With most watches, you can see the elapsed seconds and minutes in the subdials. But with some watches, you can see the elapsed seconds by means of the seconds hand on the watch. The elapsed minutes are then shown in one of the subdials. Most watches can keep time for up to 30 minutes. Not only is a chronograph stylish, they are also incredibly functional and surprisingly easy to use.

How do I use a chronograph?

1. Press the button at the 2-hour position: the second hand starts running
2. Press the push-piece at the 2 o'clock position again: the second hand pauses
3. Press the push-piece at the 2 o'clock position again: the second hand resumes itself from where it was paused
4. Press the push-piece at the 4 o'clock position when the second hand is paused (after step 2): the chronograph resets itself back to 0

So this way you can measure seconds and minutes with your chronograph watch and also reset them back to 0!
